How does this help my posture?
This doesn't seem like a lot but look at it this way for a min, if I press down with my finger on a muscle in your arm for a second, that doesn't hurt; but if i continue to hold it there for an extended period of time it begins to become uncomfortable, now do this every day and your body will begin to use the muscles around this point more to avoid the irritation. The apron loop actually has this effect, so our first step to correcting this has been to implement the cross back pattern, this distributes the weight across your upper body in a way that your body is designed to take for longer periods of time.
We understand that this may seem like a trivial place to start when correcting your posture, but it is absolutely the most effective starting point. When we are essentially a long stick with a heavy ball at the top, if that ball swings in any direction or is held at an angle, it throws off the whole pitch of the stick.
